TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s Hassan Rouhani has hosted an official ceremony in Summit Hall in Tehran to mark February 11, the crucial day in 1979 Islamic Revolution.

In the ceremony held on Thursday, participated envoys and ambassadors from Iran’s allies and neighbors, notable among them was Palestine’s Ambassador to Tehran and the longest-serving envoy among all ambassadors Mr. Salah Al-Zawawi.

Foreign envoys conveyed to Mr. Rouhani their countries’ congratulations for anniversary of glorious 1979 Islamic Revolution. Foreign Minister Javad Zarif also addressed briefly the meeting where he highlighted the nation’s pioneering of peace and stability through the history of Revolution; “The Islamic Revolution had as its core component cherishing the peace for all; it was defiance of the domination and colonialism, and relied much upon the public confidence entrusted by the multitudes of the people who were the major contributors to the success of the Revolution,” he added.

“No power would threat or denigrate the nation for what they had done in the Revolution; we welcome hands by anyone who respects mutual interests and recognizes Iranian’s decision to walk in the special path in the history toward their destination, and will remain so in the future as well,” Zarif told the meeting.
